Dear Hoteliers,
Two beds pushed together does not make a king size bed. It does not make a romantic giant bed. It makes two beds pushed together. It means someone falls down the break or a young recently married couple sleep miles apart*.
Please sort it out.
Thank you
*p.s. and then when they get home to their standard double bed they both try to sleep star fish style and there isn't enough room.
I think I've ranted about this before - Sorry.

Relationship Advice
(via Motley Photos)
O and I are both duvet stealers however we have come up with an ingenious solution to this issue - which used to cause a lot of sleepy arguments.
I didn't realise it was quite so ingenious until I shared it with my sisters and friends, they'd never considered it. Apologies if I'm telling you something you already know.
We have a standard UK double bed - so not awfully big. However (drum roll please) we have a king size duvet!!! So there are no more fights, the duvet is so enormous that it covers us both just fine. But still allows me to stick my leg out the side to regulate my temperature and allows O to tuck himself into a little cocoon without leaving me coverless.
I can not recommend this solution enough. From now on we will always buy a duvet bigger than the bed.

Random Question
Which side of the bed do you sleep on?
Last week O and I watched the first episode of the BBC series Wonderland, The British in Bed (via iPlayer). The programme interviewed British couples, about their relationships, while they were in bed.
We both loved the elderly couple who had been married for 40+ years and were absolutely hilarious. Almost as soon as the programme started O noticed that some of the couples sleep on the wrong side of the bed, by wrong I mean different from us.
As you look at the bed I sleep on the left and O sleeps on the right (opposite to the picture). This is the same as both our parents and about 99% of the other couples we know. My sister #2 is actually the only person I know who doesn’t sleep on the right (i.e. left) side of the bed.
