Thank F*** It's Friday

(which I think is that my husband felt like saying when I came home as useless as a chocolate teapot)

Turns out that time flies when you are working every hour of the day. Had a huge work deadline today which I managed to meet at 17:10! Huge relief!

Dinner, gossip and a couple of drinkipoos with the girls tonight has helped me de-stress.

Tomorrow we drive down south to Leeds to spend the weekend with my parents. Will also be seeing a good friend from high school who I haven't seen in almost two years - in which time she had a baby and I got married, so we have a LOT to catch up on.

I'M NOT BACK AT WORK UNTIL WEDNESDAY! Sorry I'm a little over excited about that.

I hope you all have something fun planned for the weekend. I'd love to hear about it.

(trying out a new font - opinions?)

  1. There is nothing finer than a protracted period of time off work :)

  2. Oh, Dan commented! That's awesome, you guys are in utterly different bloggy venn diagrams in my mind...

Anyway, I'm looking forward to tomorrow because it's Christmas Dinner with some of our lovely friends, and we're doing pud. I spent a large portion of today shopping then making christmas poached pears (in spiced port and clementine) and homemade vanillabean icecream. Bought some lebkuchen to go with. We may explode from overeating. Sunday is washing the car and putting stuff on ebay. Well we can't alll be galivanting off to "Leeds" *sniff, pfft* ;D

  3. have a lovely weekend, I too am off til tuesday, its a lovely feeling, and I know you deserve that time off!! xx

  4. Enjoy seeing your family! I am very excited for you to have two weekdays off!

(I went to see Harry Potter, It was ace!)

  5. Jealous of you being off until Wed – wish I was! (Hope you have a lovely chilling time!) My weekend was far too darn short and involved builders and the OH's not-so-fun opinions on weddings :/

  6. Hope you have had a lovely few days off and had some time to relax; i like the new font too!

As you know I was off down in London for sis's hen do which was fab but no sleep at all!
